About CWTI

Mission Statement

The Council on Wireless Technology Impacts is concerned about the safe use of technologies which use electromagnetic radiation, especially where we live, where our children attend school, where we work and where we pray. CWTI is a federally recognized, tax deductible 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, registered as a non-profit corporation in California.

Our Mission Statement calls for us to:

  • Conduct research on non-ionizing radiation, which is defined as the non-thermal radiation frequencies ranging from extremely low frequency through radio frequency radiation on the electromagnetic spectrum.

  • Educate and inform the public about the biological, health, safety and environmental effects associated with non-ionizing radiation as well as the impacts on society of technology which uses these frequencies as an energy source.

  • Encourage local, regional, national and international efforts to develop technology and appropriate regulation to reduce, mitigate and, where possible, eliminate risk of hazardous exposure to non-ionizing radiation.

  • Create a forum for effective communication among community, professional, governmental and other groups concerned about the non-ionizing radiation issues in the workplace and community.

Our Call For Precaution
